My name is Shane Ramer. As long as I was high I didn't have to feel. Drugs took the pain away, and to be honest, I liked being high. I thought I was cool. I even had a nickname, 'Cocaine Shane'. I'm a regular dude from the suburbs in Northern California. After 17 years of struggling with drugs and alcohol, for the first time in my life I took a stand for something. I didn't care what anyone would say. I didn't care what anyone would think. I went to rehab and got sober September 11th, 2013. Now I talk to people about addiction, alcoholism, recovery, and more. 1st Hour:

The Jess joins the show to discuss co-dependency, working a step study, Shane buying a pregnancy test, getting back to the gym, dealing with anger, and Shane riding a mountain bike and wearing a helmet at 37 years old. 

2nd Hour: 

Stephanie Sledge joins the show to give us a mothers perspective on alcoholism and addiction. Stephanie is the Founder of The Government Rag Educational Alternative News website. She is an author, independent researcher, freelance writer and investigative journalist. Stephanie’s son Tyler has served over a year and a half in a Missouri prison after receiving a felony for drinking & driving. Tyler went through treatment & has been clean now since December of 2017. Tyler struggled for several years with alcoholism and has had a long battle with the legal system. He gets out of prison on February 1st, 2019.
